I've tried, now I want to conquer
At CrossFit Prior Lake, we want to make sure that all members are set up for success! We want you to learn our terminology, how classes operate, learn correct movements, and build up a good “base” for our general classes. For that reason, we recommend all new CrossFitters to attend 3-4 weeks of Bootcamp classes prior to attending general CrossFit classes. These classes do not include barbell lifts or complex gymnastics movements, but over those 3 weeks, you will be exposed to a large number of the exercises that you’ll see going forward. Don’t worry, these workouts are plenty hard! They are typically 30-40 minutes and a lot of fun.
Just show up, workout and get fit!
*Members starting with no experience will should complete 3-4 weeks Bootcamp classes prior to participating in general CrossFit classes.*
Type of Classes
CrossFit Bootcamp does not require any prior CrossFit experience. These exercise classes are roughly 45-50 minutes in length and are accommodating to those who have a great fitness level as well as just getting started. No barbells or complex movements are used in these classes, but rather use a variety of bodyweight movements, kettlebells, rowers, jump ropes, etc. They are great workouts that are sure to get your heart rate up.
In fact, Bootcamp classes are our stepping stone to moving into general CrossFit classes. New CrossFitters are recommended to attend 3-4 weeks of Bootcamp prior to participating in general CrossFit classes.
Our true bread and butter! During this hour-long group fitness class, your coach will take you through a group warm-up, strength and/or skill work, as well as the workout of the day. You can rest easy knowing that if you are consistently attending general CrossFit classes you will look better, feel better, and have fun. The constantly varied programming is designed so that you will never get bored, and more importantly, never hit any plateaus. Fun, effective fitness!
Our CrossFit classes require completion of our Fundamentals course or prior CrossFit experience.

FAQ
I haven’t exercised in a while, am I too out of shape to try CrossFit classes?
You’re absolutely able to CrossFit! We truly believe that all ages, abilities, shapes, sizes, etc. can CrossFit. Workouts are infinitely scalable and able to be completed by all. Every class is coach-led to make sure you are set up for success. Remember, everyone needs to start somewhere, so let that start be here!
I don’t know if I want to start yet, but I’d like to try it out. When can I stop in?
The easiest way to learn more about what we do is to attend a Free Intro class. These are every Saturday in Prior Lake, and they provide an overview of what CrossFit is, why we do what we do, put you through a short workout (that all abilities can participate in), and answer any questions that you have. Rest easy know that anyone who is at this class with you is also looking for some more information just like you!

Will I get hurt?
Many people hear CrossFit and have concerns that it’ll be too intense or they’ll get injured. There is risk with each and every type of workout you could do. From walking to CrossFit, there’s risk of injury.
Dedicated and certified trainers are present to make sure each movement is executed safely and correctly. The bottom line – we want you to tier the workout down in order to suit your physical abilities.
Our gym sees members from all ages and sizes. The bottom line is health, wellness and sustainability from each and every workout.
My life and schedule are a little hectic. Do I need to reserve a spot in the class I attend?
No! We do not require registration for classes, so feel free to attend any class as your schedule allows per your choice of membership. Remember, if you’re new to CrossFit we recommend you complete 3-4 weeks of Bootcamp classes first.
How do memberships work? Do I have an initiation fee or cancellation fee if I need to terminate my membership?
Memberships are all based on how many days per week a member wants to attend classes. You will pay for the month ahead, and memberships work for both locations. If you purchase a 3 class per week membership, you are able to attend any 3 classes during each week. They could be morning, noon, night, spaced out, or 3 days in a row. Again, whatever your schedule allows! If for some reason you didn’t make it to as many classes as you’d have liked in one week, feel free to make those classes up the following week.
There are also no initiation or cancellation fees. You are able to start and stop your membership at any time by simply emailing us. (The only exception to this is if you choose to enroll in our 12-month contract at 15% off.)
